“ The Shake Pit is what I, as a Bradenton Native, hold up as the DEFINITION of griddle burger, well made hot-dog's and THE BEST ICE CREAM! Shake it, malt it, split it, that is what I remember as a little kid 40 years ago, and it holds true to today. Please don't go anywhere and don't change a thing! ”

“ A hidden local favorite! Known for their low cost, large portion ice cream, it's a must-visit when in the area. They're cash only, but have an ATM inside, (or at the CVS next door). I highly recommend the shakes/malts - ask for them "drinkable" if you don't wish to consume them with a spoon. Which you should. So good. All the fried sides are great (French fries AND ice cream? Yes, please!). There are a ton of specials and toppings offered. The enclosed patio has fans for the summer and heat braziers for the 'winter.' The service is fast and friendly. Strongly recommend whenever you're in the area. Unless you're looking for an Instagram pic alone, skip the speciality places and satisfy your cravings here! ”
